Factory Fan Experience #1 - Anaheim 1, 2013

Factory Fan Experience

The MX101 Factory Fan Experience (FFX) hit Anaheim 1 SXGP on January 3-6 2013. It was a great "Experience" for the MX101 Crew and the Clarke Family. Rory Clarke, an 85cc racer, won the FFX and brought his whole family to California for a great time and a great race. Rory's sister, Leah, is also a racer, and his Dad is an accomplished racer who still runs up front in the Vet class. Along with one of the best moto-Moms in racing with Anna-Marie, the MX101 Crew knew they were in for a great trip.

What is FFX?

FFX is an idea that MX101 came up with to allow racers who race at Sand Del Lee (SDL) to go see some great races at some great locations. Kevin and Johnny from MX101 have travelled to a ton of races just for the experience, including many AMA Nationals (including Glen Helen), the MXDN, and lots of Supercrosses. These trips were such a great experience, the thought was why not share with other riders and racers at SDL.

The location chosen for the first FFX was somewhere KT and Johnny always wanted to go - Anaheim 1! FFX2 has already been chosen, and will be at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas this coming October, 2013!!!

There are a few ways to enter into the draw for the FFX.
1. Double class every race day at SDL.
2. Buy a membership with MX101 during their Christmas sale (on until Jan 23 this year!)
3. Watch MX101.ca and MX101Store.com for other sale items that include "Buy this and be entered into FFX2". Some of these products will be released in February, so keep checking back!

What happened in Cali?

What did not happen? Celebrities: We ran into Michael Cera, and Pink, but then we got snubbed by Pink when we just wanted a quick photo, so our Pink Fan Club cards got trashed! We went to the San Diego Zoo, hit all the beach's (though it was cold), went to Disney Citywalk, Hollywood Tour and of course we ate tons of great food along the way. On the moto side we went to TLD, Pro Circuit, FMF, and the N-Fab TiLUBE YAMAHA race shop. Of course we needed to see some MX while we were there so we headed out to Milestone MX where we were met MX legend Jeff Ward and saw some fast up and comers working on their SX skills on the test track. Once at Anaheim we were into the A1 pits as VIPs. We toured the Pro Circuit Rig, bumped into Chad Reed and Tate Reed doing hot laps on their scooters, JS7, and Villi, and every single team and rig in the pits. We got pictures with Adam Cianciarulo, Kevin Windham, Eli Tomac, and the most unexpected but truly deserving race winner, Davi Millsaps. We all had a great experience that will be cherished for a lifetime! And then we decided we had to do it AGAIN!

And FFX2 was born. Different location, but the same plan - go to a great race and see what we can see. Vegas should provide us with some excellent opportunities to do and see even more, so the "Experience" will be as awesome as it was at A1. You can only win if you enter!
